What is CDC(Seaman book)?
This is kind of identity document issued to seafarers. If a person holds this document, this means he or she is trained seafarer as per the International Convention on Standards of Training and fit in all respects. Every seafarer must carry this document while on board. This is an official and legal record of your sea experience.

The time it takes to issue the documents varies depending on the route you choose to apply for. It takes 45 days to issue to Panama CDC whereas Liberia CDC takes 25 days, also Bahamas or some other CDCS can be issued in 4 working days too. How to apply for CDC & COC
Different CDCs like Panama CDC, Liberia CDC, Marshal Island, Cyprus, Bahamas, Samoa can be applied. The document is issued by the Competent Issuing Maritime Authorities to seafarers who have successfully completed the required training offered by approved institutes. The document is issued according to the training. For example, if you want to work on specialized ships such as petroleum, gas and chemical tankers (Tanker Endorsements) and passenger ships, you should be trained rightly and meet the specified requirements. The CDC is issued for the time of five or ten years, but it can be renewed or validated before it expires
